HomeKeeper is built to keep household data scoped to the people who should see it, while keeping the browser footprint deliberately small.
This is a practical overview of current product safeguards, not a certification, compliance attestation or guarantee of uninterrupted service.
Access is scoped at the data layer
The product uses server-side access controls so household data is limited to authorized people; a client-side screen is never the only protection.
The browser stores only what it needs
Authenticated API responses are not cached for offline use. Browser storage is documented publicly, and optional product analytics is off until you enable it.
Operational issues are designed to be recoverable
Billing state is synchronized from Stripe through signed webhooks and a reconciliation path, so the app does not grant access just because a browser returned from payment.
